Safety Notice

Do not connect a wallet, share a Secret Recovery Phrase or private key, or approve a transaction just because a page says a claim is urgent. Rewards and eligibility are not guaranteed. If you are unsure, close the page and verify the destination independently.

What Official Guidance Confirms

MetaMask states that its deceptive-site warning may appear when a site could be phishing, and advises users not to connect when that warning appears. Its NFT airdrop scam guidance also describes malicious sites that try to obtain a Secret Recovery Phrase or prompt a harmful transaction.

These sources describe known scam patterns. They do not prove that every unfamiliar claim page is a scam, and they do not verify any particular campaign.

Common Pattern

A fake claim page may copy project branding, advertise an unexpected reward, and push the visitor to connect quickly. A convincing logo, polished layout, or familiar wallet button does not confirm that the domain is official.

Before Connecting

1. Stop if the link arrived through a direct message, unsolicited token or NFT, reply, ad, or shortened URL.
2. Open the project's known official website through a source you have already verified. Do not use the suspicious page to find the official channel.
3. Compare the complete domain, including spelling and domain ending. A padlock only means the connection is encrypted; it does not prove the operator is legitimate.
4. Read the wallet prompt. Reject anything you do not understand, especially token approvals or transaction signatures unrelated to the action you expected.
5. Leave when the official source does not list the claim or when sources conflict. Doing nothing is a valid safety decision.

What To Avoid

• Never enter a Secret Recovery Phrase, seed phrase, or private key into a claim page.
• Do not pay an unlock, verification, gas reimbursement, or recovery fee to an unknown account.
• Do not continue after a deceptive-site or phishing warning.
• Do not assume an unsolicited asset in your wallet is safe to open or follow.

Safer Response

Close the page. If you already connected but did not approve or sign anything, stop and use your wallet's official support documentation to review the next steps. If you signed or shared sensitive information, do not accept private recovery help; use only a support channel reached from the verified official site.
